Job Overview
The Lean Industrial Design (LID) Manager is responsible for driving implementation of TE Global Auto Lean Industrial Design principles during Program Development, Industrialization and Launch phases, with the goal for each new program to achieve the highest QCDP standards in Series Production.
Drive program & launch KPIs related to Operations: Work Packages OTD (On Time Delivery), MPT on time, launch costs.
Coach and manage LID deployment with PMLs (Program Manufacturing Leaders), ME Project Managers and PLTLs (Plant Launch Team Leaders), ensure alignment with global TE best standards and Global Auto industrial strategy.
Provide training, guidance and individual coaching during Process Development and Launch phases.
What your background should look like:
The ideal candidate will have/be:
* Education level: Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
* At least 7 years of experience, including Programs, Manufacturing Engineering, TEOA or Production.
* Skills & Competencies:
o Leadership skills
o Strong Analytical, Problem-Solving skills
o Decision Making, Networking, Communication, Computer, and Interpersonal Skills
o Ability to work effectively at various organizational levels and with external partners or vendors
o Thorough knowledge of engineering techniques related to project management
o Problem solving & Conflict Management skills, Customer focus
o Lean Manufacturing: Line concept in One piece flow, Plant layout for flow, SMED and batch size optimization, KANBAN Pull System, Production System with fixed batch replenishment, KAIZEN workshops, Standardized Work
o Practical knowledge of APQP functions, continuous improvement, and analytical and action planning tools
o Understanding of Finance Basics: Costing, Investments, plant P&L
o Minimum bi-lingual (English required)
o Results Oriented
