Engineer | Aircraft Design - Mechanical Systems

We work by bridging cities, industry, and universities around large programs of development and industrialization of products and services, from Portugal, in high-tech sectors such as mobility, aeronautics, and space.
This opportunity for an Engineer | Aircraft Design - Mechanical Systems (m/f/d) will be integrated into the Aeronautics team.
 * Adherence to product configuration rules.
 * Contribute towards the creation of project reports and certification documentation.
 * Design for manufacturing of 3D CAD models (composite or metallic materials).
 * Develop CAD models supporting testing and certification activities.
 * Ensure compliance with project requirements and quality processes.
 * Evaluate inputs for material, treatment, and production technique selection.
 * Generate Bill of Materials for production and logistics.
 * Identify issues and propose improvements to meet requirements and solve problems.
 * Provide the manager with information for planning, execution, and control of technical activities, including:
 o Activity planning and tracking;
 o Work estimates and projections;
 o Alerting to potential problems or deviations.
 * Reduce costs by applying lean principles to processes and design choices.
Minimum requirements include:
 * Academic background in Aerospace Engineering, Aeronautics, Mechanics, or equivalent.
 * Experience with CAD software (CATIA, Siemens NX, SolidWorks) and MS Office tools.
 * Proven experience in component/product development.
 * Knowledge of materials and production techniques.
 * Understanding of structural sizing analysis techniques.
 * Good interpersonal skills for teamwork in demanding projects, with strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
