The TeamYou will be working in a small squad with between 2 and 6 people responsible for building, growing and maintaining different parts of the Triptease stackWe have both frontend and backend components, with a lean towards backendAll our teams are small, empowered and autonomous: we own the strategy and actions we need to take to be successfulWe embrace honest and open discussion.

We frequently work together with other squads, all squads use a similar stack which is great for building up expertise and having other engineers to support you.Requirements We're looking forYou are collaborative, open-minded, and looking to continue to develop your craftYou're comfortable with pair programming all dayExperience writing distributed, high availability, high throughput systems maintaining data consistencyYou are proud of the code you produce;
it's obvious, concise and rarely needs to be commented.
You always like to leave the code better than you found it, and are experienced with refactoring techniques, in fact, it's how you code every dayYou see writing tests as an integral part of the development process and understand the benefit of writing code and tests in small incrementsThe applications you build are modular and functionalExcellent skills in developing a solution all the way from client-side through to server-sideYou love shipping code and seeing how it performs in production and therefore are passionate about delivery pipelines, A/B testing, real-time analytics and monitoring tools like DataDogYou are customer-centric and work well with product managersYou have a solid understanding of HTTP and how the internet worksExpert knowledge at using tests to drive the design of the applicationYou have experience with building deployment pipelines and continuous delivery on cloud platforms (we use Google Cloud Platform, Docker, Terraform and Kubernetes)Bonus Points for:You have an entrepreneurial streak, with some great examples of how you saw an opportunity and made it happenWorking in cross-functional teams practising XP and Kanban techniquesYou have experience in multiple different programming languages and understand the value in bringing ideas from other ecosystems into your current environmentBenefits Why Join Us?

In terms of scale, our software operates on around 10k hotels and collects :30M guest events a day, and growing.

'Start with the problem' is one of our three core principles, and beyond tools like FullStory, Intercom and Analytics that help us learn about users, each squad has friends in CS and Sales and even hoteliers themselves to help build that knowledge.
