Role: Salesforce Engineering Manager, Commercial Systems at Canonical

The Commercial Systems unit oversees multiple responsibilities across six engineering teams, collaborating closely with other teams at Canonical. The services managed by this unit are central to Canonical's business, with Salesforce playing an integral role.
The Salesforce team focuses on the development and configuration of Canonical's Salesforce instance. Its mission is to provide a first-class experience to the Sales and business operations teams relying on Salesforce, while maintaining high engineering standards.
We seek an engineering manager with senior-level Salesforce experience who strives for quality, seeks continuous improvement, and is eager to leverage the latest Salesforce features and best practices to keep the Salesforce instance efficient and maintainable.
Location
This role is remote within the EMEA region.
Responsibilities
1. Lead a team of engineers delivering solutions on the Salesforce platform
2. Identify and implement improvements to processes, designs, and solutions
3. Collaborate on business analysis and technical design
4. Provide Salesforce expertise to business and cross-functional teams
5. Develop engineering solutions leveraging Salesforce
Candidate Requirements
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science or related field
* Experience with Salesforce development and integrations
* Experience as a hands-on engineering manager or team lead
* Excellent communication skills in English
* Ability to work remotely with diverse teams, remaining motivated and organized
* Willingness to travel internationally 2-4 times per year for about a week each time
Additional Skills
* Experience with high-level programming languages such as Go or Python
* Experience in roles related to sales, finance, or operations
