Job Title: Construction Project Manager
We are seeking a seasoned professional to lead our construction and civil works projects, ensuring they meet desired outcomes and align with business strategies.
Job Description:
As a Construction Project Manager, you will be responsible for efficiently managing projects from inception to completion, leading project reviews, escalating risks and problems, meeting compliance standards, and communicating effectively with stakeholders.
Main Objectives:
* Evaluate and implement efficient project planning, execution, and closure processes to meet defined objectives.
* Communicate regularly with stakeholders, particularly the designated steering committee.
* Lead and motivate the project team to ensure alignment with goals and motivation towards success.
* Utilize project management systems to ensure high-quality standards and efficiency.
* Foster a positive feedback culture, promoting effective oversight and continuous improvement.
Tasks:
1. Define clear project objectives, create detailed plans outlining scope, schedule, resources, and budget requirements, and ensure high-quality standards throughout the project lifecycle.
2. Coordinate and motivate the project team, training them on project management systems and setting up reporting tools, calendars, and KPIs for project tracking.
3. Manage stakeholder communication, addressing misalignments, resolving issues, and acting as a mediator to keep projects on track and achieve objectives.
Requirements:
We require a degree in Civil Engineering, Business Administration, Marine Sciences, Aquaculture, or related fields. Additionally, we expect experience in large-scale project management, proficiency in planning, resource, and budget management, strong leadership and communication skills, and experience with widely-used project management systems.
Experience:
* A minimum of 5 years of experience in managing large-scale construction and civil works projects.
* Proficient in planning, resource, and budget management.
* Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Other Considerations:
* Fluency in English is required; other languages are an asset.
* Location: Coimbra.
* Must be available for short-term travel, both national and international.
