Industrial Robotics
Work description
* Analyze, adapt, and migrate existing ROS1 packages to ROS2;
* Support lab members in integrating and testing converted packages;
* Participate in follow-up meetings and technical discussions;
* Understand and interact with robotic concepts and hardware.
Academic Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree program in Electrical and Computer Engineering, Computer Engineering, Artificial Intelligence.
Minimum profile required
* Proven knowledge of containerization tools such as "Container", "Podman", and "Distrobox";
* Ability to read and interpret code in C++ and Python;
* Availability for meetings and collaborative work;
* Good understanding of concepts in robotics, control, and sensing;
* Proven prior experience in robotics;
* Proven knowledge of ROS1 and ROS2;
* Experience in C++ and Python programming.
Preference factors
* Prior experience in robotics;
* Scientific publications in the field of robotics;
* Experience in R&D projects;
* Master's student in Electrical and Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence.
Maintenance stipend:
€ 651.12, according to the table of monthly maintenance stipend for FCT grants, paid via bank transfer. Grant holders may be awarded potential supplements, according to a quarterly evaluation process (Articles 19, 21 and 22 of the Regulations for Grants of INESC TEC and Annex II), up to a maximum limit of 50% of the monthly maintenance stipend.
INESC TEC supports costs with registration, enrolment or tuition fees, during the grant duration, under the terms established in the internal document: "Payment of Tuition fees to grant holders".
The grant holder will benefit from health insurance, supported by INESC TEC.
