- The Duro De Matar Lead Server is the representative of the restaurant to guests.
Lead Servers are responsible for guiding guests through the Duro De Matar experience.
Lead Servers are expected to give service that is knowledgeable, approachable, efficient, energetic, and thoughtful while upholding company standards and values in a busy, fast paced environment.
This role will be responsible for overseeing & partaking in service and training FOH team members.ResponsibilitiesOversee and guide guest's complete restaurant experienceMaintain proper flow of service while upholding service standards, product quality, and cleanlinessAssist in executing new restaurant initiatives and service protocols through staff trainingProvide knowledgeable, approachable, efficient, and energetic service at all timesCultivate relationships with guests to create return businessSupport service team by troubleshooting any escalated guest issuesDrive and support the continual development of FOH team members by upholding performance expectations, providing ongoing feedback, and offering input for regular performance reviewsExecute FOH team member training programs as determined by ManagementOversee daily reservationsMaintain full menu knowledge for both food and beverage items, including all allergen informationAdhere to all company service standards and protocolsEnsure proper table maintenance, including water service, pre-bussing, etc.Stock and prepare service-related itemsMaintain professional and warm guest communicationsRecognize key people in the industry, VIP guests and contacts related to the company and follow company protocol related to their visitCommunicate respectfully and clearly with service team and managementSupport team members in the completion of their duties to ensure satisfaction of all guests before, during, and after serviceEngage management for any escalated guest situationsAdhere to grooming and dress code standardsAssist teammates to anticipate all other FOH needsCompensation: €1100 (net)Bonus: Additional performance-based bonuses linked to agreed KPIsRequired QualificationsA positive and enthusiastic attitude, as well as a desire to learn, grow, and develop new skillsExcellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skillsAbility to remain calm under pressure and resolve guest conflictWilling to accept guidance in a positive manner and implement the direction in a way that is productive for both you and the teamAble to work in a standing/walking position for long periods of timeAbility to demonstrate quick thinking and adaptability in a constantly changing environmentPreferred Qualifications2+ years of experience as a Server, Captain, or related role in a restaurant with a comparable service styleAbility to train new Servers in all aspects and responsibilities of the roleA proven track record of dependability and a continuous focus on learning and development
