This role offers strong exposure to a global tax organization, combining hands‐on execution, advisory responsibilities, and opportunities to grow in a matrix environment.Reporting Line & Organizational ContextReports to: Head of Tax Zone SWE (Spain / Portugal)Organizational placement: Part of the Global Tax Function; closely collaborates with Country Finance, Controllers, and Business stakeholdersScope: All direct and indirect tax matters for PortugalYour Role & ResponsibilitiesManage end‐to‐end tax activities for Portugal, covering direct and indirect taxes.Ensure compliance and reporting excellence, including tax returns, provisions, filings, and statutory requirements.Support tax audits and inquiries, coordinating with internal stakeholders and external advisors.Act as a business partner to Finance and local management on tax‐related questions, transactions, and projects.Contribute to group tax initiatives, including process improvements, harmonization, and digitalization efforts (e.g. SAP/S4, automation, data quality).Support risk management and internal controls, ensuring proper documentation and governance.Monitor tax law changes and assess their impact on the business, proposing practical solutions.Collaborate closely within a regional and global tax network, learning best practices and building expertise.What You Bring5-8 years of experience in tax, preferably in a multinational environment or Big4.Solid foundation in direct and indirect taxation, with exposure to IFRS and tax accounting.Initial experience working with ERP systems (SAP preferred) and interest in digital tax solutions.Hands‐on, structured, and proactive working style with strong ownership mentality.Ability to work effectively in a matrix and multicultural environment.Strong analytical and communication skills.Fluency in English; Portuguese required.
