Unilabs operates approximately 2000 locations across 15 countries. The Global Real Estate team aims to support the business by managing physical assets and optimizing real estate locations.


Facilities Manager Role

As Unilabs Facilities Manager, you will develop and implement long-term facility management (FM) strategies, including preventative maintenance, building lifecycle management, and space optimization. You will collaborate with country teams to drive change across our international portfolio. As a visible and adaptable leader, you will support the Global Head of Real Estate and contribute to enhancing our estate.

This is an exciting opportunity to lead FM in a dynamic environment across 15 countries. The ideal candidate will be motivated to devise and execute a region-wide FM strategy that delivers efficient, consistent, and best-in-class services. Developing FM capabilities and fostering effective vendor partnerships will be key responsibilities.

You will need strong leadership, influencing, and collaboration skills to motivate teams in a customer-centric, international setting. Managing senior stakeholder relationships and partnering with functions like Retail and Finance are also essential.

This role marks a new chapter and a great opportunity to shape Unilabs' future.


Key Responsibilities

* Review current FM procurement and delivery methods; develop and implement a comprehensive FM strategy.
* Drive operational improvements in soft and hard FM services, optimizing facilities for efficiency, employee experience, and sustainability.
* Implement proactive maintenance strategies aligned with industry standards; manage the lifecycle of building infrastructure to ensure safety, compliance, and operational readiness. Develop maintenance and refresh programs.
* Establish and manage vendor relationships at the country and regional levels. Monitor performance through KPIs and SLAs. Collaborate with procurement to develop a vendor strategy supporting FM services globally.
* Manage the international facilities operating budget, partnering with finance to plan and seek cost efficiencies without compromising service quality.
* Share best practices across countries, leverage resources, and deploy advanced technology. Use data analytics to improve service delivery and efficiency.
* Lead sustainability and energy initiatives to reduce emissions and energy consumption, aligning with corporate goals. Develop and promote Unilabs' Sustainability Statement.
* Act as the technical FM expert, fostering a culture of collaboration, ownership, and transparency. Promote continuous learning and professional development.
* Work with the Global Head of Real Estate to identify CAPEX needs and lead facilities projects and contracts, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
* Partner with markets to deliver facilities projects that enhance employee experience, boost productivity, and generate cost savings.


Qualifications and Experience

- Proven track record at a senior level managing FM services across a large, multi-site organization, preferably in healthcare within Europe.

- Experience managing multiple stakeholders and aligning efforts towards operational excellence.

- Strong negotiation, problem-solving, and multi-tasking skills.

- Dynamic, professional, resilient, with a hands-on leadership style.

- Financial acumen, analytical skills, and understanding of business and finance.

- Knowledge of effective corporate real estate management strategies.

- Excellent negotiation, problem-solving, and team collaboration skills.

- Ability to work effectively with diverse internal and external stakeholders.

- Fluency in English is essential; proficiency in another European language is preferred.

Qualifications:
- Degree in building, engineering, or construction with a minimum of 15 years PQE.
- Membership of a professional body such as BIFM, MCIOB, MRICS, IFMA, or equivalent.
