Administer Aurora My SQL and Postgre SQL environments, including managing database instances, clusters, and replicas at scalePerform database versioning upgrades, query optimizations, and implement data retention strategies to ensure scalabilityManage database migration tools including AWS DMS, Kinesis, and implement Change Data Capture (CDC) solutions with KafkaExecute database schema changes using tools such as Percona, Liquibase, Doctrine, or Alembic while following established processes and ensuring zero downtime changesMonitor database performance, proactively identify bottlenecks, and optimize queries and indexing for improved efficiencyImplement security policies, access controls, and ensure compliance with industry regulations (GDPR, HIPAA)Develop and maintain backup and recovery strategies, configure replication and failover for high availability, and respond to database incidents What Sets You Up for Success:
5+ years of proven experience as a Database Administrator with strong focus on Amazon Aurora My SQLDeep expertise in both My SQL and Postgre SQL database administrationStrong proficiency in SQL, query optimization, and performance tuningExperience with database migration tools (AWS DMS) and Change Data Capture (CDC) technologiesKnowledge of database schema change management tools and processesExperience with cloud computing platforms, particularly AWSExcellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and analytical skills with ability to follow established processesStrong communication and collaboration abilities in remote team environmentsWillingness to participate in on-call rotation for database support Bonus Skills to Stand Out:
