You'll build robust financial systems, ensure audit-ready books, and provide the insights that drive our growth strategy.This isn't just managing numbers—you'll be the architect of our financial foundation, creating the systems and controls that enable us to scale with confidence.What You'll OwnComplete Financial OwnershipOwn the entire accounting function end-to-end using QuickBooksProduce accurate monthly financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow)Establish and maintain financial controls and policiesEnsure compliance across multiple jurisdictions (US, UK, EU)Manage complex revenue recognition across DTC, Amazon, and wholesale channelsOversee inventory accounting and COGS calculation for our product businessPrepare audit-ready financials and liaise with external accountants/auditorsStrategic Financial Planning & AnalysisLead weekly cash flow forecasting to support rapid scaling decisionsConduct profitability analysis by channel, product, and customer segmentBuild financial models for new product launches and market expansionTrack and optimize omni-channel margins and unit economicsDevelop KPIs and dashboards that drive business decisionsProvide monthly executive presentations with actionable insightsInternational Operations ManagementManage multi-currency transactions and FX exposureNavigate VAT/sales tax compliance across US, UK, and EU marketsOversee supplier payment terms and inventory financing arrangementsWork with Chinese manufacturing partners on pricing and payment structuresLeadership & Team BuildingBuild the finance function as we scale toward 8 figuresManage relationships with lenders, investors, and financial partnersSupport vendor negotiations and contract reviewCollaborate with COO on strategic initiatives and EOS implementationEventually recruit and manage finance team members as neededWhat We're Looking ForEssential Qualifications:Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA or equivalent)5+ years progressive finance experience, ideally with Controller-level responsibilitiesE-commerce & inventory expertise - deep understanding of COGS in product businessesMulti-channel marketplace experience - Amazon, Shopify, wholesale accountingInternational operations - multi-currency, cross-border compliance, VAT/sales taxCash vs accrual accounting mastery - critical for our business modelQuickBooks advanced proficiency (or ability to master it quickly)Highly Desirable:Experience scaling businesses from $5M-$20M revenueBackground with high-growth consumer brandsUnderstanding of inventory financing (Wayflyer, supplier credit, etc.)Experience with distributed/remote teams across multiple time zonesFinancial modeling and forecasting expertiseExperience implementing financial systems and ERP platformsPersonal Qualities:Strategic thinker who can balance big picture with meticulous detailOwnership mindset - treats the business like it's yoursProactive communicator who translates complex financials into clear insightsBuilder mentality - excited by creating systems and processes from the ground upResilient and adaptable - thrives in the fast-paced environment of a scaling businessIntegrity and discretion - handles sensitive financial and strategic informationWhy You'll Love Working HereBe the financial architect - Build the systems that power our growthRapid growth trajectory - Scale to 8 figures and beyondInternational scope - Manage operations across US, UK, EU, and ChinaHigh impact role - Your work directly shapes our strategic decisionsClear growth path - Shape the business at a pivotal momentFast-paced environment - Complex challenges across multiple marketsStrategic partner - Work directly with founders and leadership teamBuild your function - Shape the finance team as we growCompensation & GrowthCompetitive salary commensurate with experience, with potential for performance-based incentives tied to business growth and profitability milestones.
