Introduction to the Role
We are seeking a highly capable and self-starting Financial Reporting Manager to lead and develop the financial reporting function of our business. This individual will take full ownership of management accounts, statutory financial statements, board reporting packs, and regulatory compliance. The successful candidate will ensure reporting deadlines are consistently met and improved, while distilling complex data into clear, actionable insights for senior leadership. They will also take a leading role in emerging compliance areas such as CSRD and sustainability reporting.
Background of the Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA) with 5–7 years' post-qualified experience in financial reporting or senior accounting roles within a multi-entity or operationally complex environment. They will bring a strong track record of producing management and statutory accounts, familiarity with FRS102, VAT and audit processes, and experience or ambition to grow into sustainability and CSRD reporting. The right person will be highly organised, collaborative, and capable of leading a finance team to deliver against tight deadlines.

Key Responsibilities
Lead, coach, and manage the financial reporting team, including accountants, AP and AR staff.
Deliver accurate and timely monthly management accounts and board packs.
Oversee preparation of statutory financial statements and coordination with external auditors.
Manage quarterly bank reporting, VAT returns, and other compliance filings.
Prepare and present weekly Flash P&L and KPI reports for senior leadership.
Manage the annual budgeting process and rolling forecasts across divisions.
Provide variance analysis and actionable business insights.
Support delivery of CSRD and sustainability compliance reporting requirements.
Drive continuous improvement in reporting timelines, processes, and systems.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
On-time delivery of monthly management accounts and board packs.
100% compliance with statutory filing deadlines (audit, VAT, bank reporting).
Accuracy of weekly Flash P&L and KPI reporting.
Improved reporting timelines year-on-year.
Successful completion of annual budgeting and forecasting cycles.
Implementation of CSRD/sustainability reporting framework within agreed timelines.

Reporting Structure
Reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO).
Manages a team of accountants, AP, and AR staff.
Works closely with divisional management, compliance, and external auditors.
