Located just 30 minutes from Lisbon, DOMA Portugal is growing — and we are looking for a talented HR Manager to join our team and help us shape the future of this dynamic project. This position is on-site 4 times a week.

Located 30 minutes away from Lisbon, DOMA sits on a forested estate where people come to stay, gather, and create. The grounds include 35 rooms, Café & Bakery, an à la carte restaurant, coworking studios, forest trails, and event spaces — from quiet corners to gatherings of up to 350 people.
Position: HR Manager
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all HR operations, including recruitment, hiring, and onboarding of both permanent and seasonal staff.
- Manage our HR software – Planday, overseeing schedules, vacation planning, extra hours, and overall workforce planning.
- Work closely with our external accounting company on payroll and employment contractss in compliance with Portuguese labor laws.
- Develop and implement training programs and onboarding processes to set new hires up for success.
- Support career development opportunities and foster a positive, engaging workplace culture.
- Maintain accurate employee records and ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Handle employee relations including conflict resolution, performance reviews, and disciplinary actions.
- Develop and enforce HR policies and procedures to streamline operations.
- Conduct regular reviews of HR practices to ensure compliance and identify areas for improvement.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an HR Manager in hospitality in industry or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of Portuguese labor laws.
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Experience handling sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Strong written and verbal Portuguese & English.
