Job Description
Project Context
As an Acoustic Engineer, you will play a key role in the acoustic testing, analysis, and design optimization of sound mitigation measures for heat pump outdoor units, including their refrigeration circuits.
Your contribution will be essential to uphold acoustic quality standards, ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, and support the delivery of high-quality, competitive products.
Key Responsibilities
* Ensure compliance with stringent sound performance targets for heat pump outdoor units;
* Perform acoustic testing and measurements, including test setup, execution, and validation;
* Analyze acoustic and vibration data to identify noise sources and propagation paths;
* Apply fundamental knowledge of vibration propagation and acoustics to develop and evaluate noise reduction measures;
* Support the design optimization of sound mitigation solutions in collaboration with cross-functional teams;
* Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to align on acoustic requirements and solutions;
* Contribute to continuous improvement of acoustic testing methods and procedures.
Qualifications
Technical Skills
* Solid background in physics and mathematics;
* Understanding of acoustic principles, wave propagation, and vibration behavior;
* Knowledge of testing techniques and methodologies;
* Understanding of rotating machines and their acoustic impact;
* Experience with hardware and/or laboratory testing;
* Experience in data acquisition and data analysis;
* Hands-on experience in setting up and performing acoustic tests.
Personal Skills
* Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment;
* Strong sense of ownership and responsibility for assigned tasks;
* Problem-solving mindset with initiative in developing solutions;
* High attention to detail and structured working approach;
* Proactive attitude and strong organizational skills;

Computer Skills
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Project);
* Proficiency with laboratory and analysis tools, such as MATLAB / SIMULINK.

* Good command of English (written and spoken).
