Your contribution to Prysmian's Success:
We are looking for a Quality engineer to join our plant in Morelena.
Reporting directly to the QHSE Manager of the plant, you will:
1. Monitor the manufacturing process daily.
2. Improve process quality by collecting data, analyzing root causes, implementing solutions, and monitoring results.
3. Verify electrical characteristics and construction of various cable types per quality plans.
4. Provide technical guidance and manage daily inspection/testing of telephone and data cables.
5. Ensure all inspection/testing equipment is calibrated and functional.
6. Control cable identification effectively.
7. Prepare self-control guidelines and FMEAs for manufacturing processes.
8. Perform QPA audits on factory machines.
9. Conduct internal audits related to Quality and Environment.
10. Participate in monitoring monthly Quality indicators (e.g., NC Costs).
11. Prepare QPAs.
12. Establish communication channels with manufacturing and commercial teams to resolve issues.
13. Collaborate with process and production engineering on defective cable investigations.
14. Work with production supervision and quality control leadership.
15. Hold 5-minute meetings with different factory areas.
16. Collaborate in training activities related to self-control and online control.
17. Investigate and respond to customer complaints.
18. Investigate manufacturing issues causing defects.
19. Ensure effectiveness of corrective and preventive actions through quality variable analysis.
20. Prepare management reviews of Quality, Environment, and Safety systems with the Safety and Environment Technician.
21. Enforce safety, hygiene, and health procedures in the Quality Department.
22. Ensure availability and proper condition of safety equipment and tools.
You are the right fit if you have/are:
23. Fluent in English a(spoken and written)
24. Degree in Engineering
25. Up to 2 years of experience as/in a similar role
26. Other specific knowledge:
27. Knowledge of ISO9001 and 14001 standards
28. Knowledge acquired on the job: SAP
29. Strong communication & interpersonal skills
30. Decision making attitude, critical thinking and problem-solving skills
31. Strong teamwork skills, results oriented and ambitious mindset
