The Master Data Management (MDM) Manager will be responsible for leading and continuously improving the global MDM operations within ManpowerGroup GBS. This role will play a key part in the design, implementation, and governance of end-to-end MDM processes across functional areas such as R2R, P2P, OTC, and FP&A, ensuring alignment with global finance transformation objectives and data integrity across systems.
Acting as a strategic partner, the MDM Manager will lead the MDM Supervisors and Analysts, promote a data-driven culture, and ensure that master data processes support compliance, operational efficiency, and business growth. This role demands both strong leadership and deep technical knowledge of data management in a shared service or CoE environment.
Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership & Governance
* Own the global Master Data Management strategy and execution roadmap.
* Define, implement, and enforce global standards, policies, and procedures for master data across all key domains (Customer, Supplier, Financial, Organizational).
* Collaborate with Finance leadership and Global Process Owners (GPOs) to ensure alignment of MDM with broader transformation initiatives.
* Drive adoption of best practices, standardization, and continuous improvement across global MDM operations.
* Serve as a key point of contact for internal/external audits regarding MDM controls and documentation.
Other Specific Functions / Duties, Relationship & Metrics
* Ensure timely and accurate execution of master data creation, updates, and deletions while maintaining high data quality standards.
* Monitor KPIs and SLAs for MDM activities; proactively identify and resolve bottlenecks or compliance gaps.
* Oversee issue resolution, root cause analysis, and implementation of corrective actions.
* Lead initiatives for automation, digitalization, and system enhancements in collaboration with IT and Data & Analytics teams.
Leadership and People
* Lead, coach, and develop a global team of MDM Supervisors and Analysts, promoting a high-performance and inclusive culture.
* Define clear goals, performance metrics, and development plans for the MDM team.
* Promote cross-training and succession planning within the MDM function.
* Foster collaboration with other finance towers, GPOs, and external partners.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar MDM role.
In-depth knowledge of the mechanics in the MDM process stream and how these fit into the end-to-end financial process environment.
Experience in a Global Business Services environment or multinational company experience.
