Blaze Information Security is a leading cybersecurity company established in 2016 with a presence in Berlin, Porto, Kraków, and Recife. We are seeking an experienced Account Executive (AE) to join our team and drive new revenue from mid-market and enterprise customers.
In this role, you will combine self-sourced outbound prospecting with inbound and BDR-generated leads to close new business for penetration testing, red teaming, and other cybersecurity services in our portfolio.
We are seeking individuals willing to work from our offices in Porto, Portugal. However, remote work in Western Europe may be an option for the right candidate. Applicants must have valid work authorization for the EU - visa sponsorship is not available.
Key responsibilities
As an Account Executive, your main responsibilities will include:
* Owning the entire sales cycle from first contact through discovery, scoping, proposal, negotiation, close and renewal
* Prospecting mid-market and enterprise accounts and sourcing 12 BANT-qualified opportunities per quarter on your own
* Reaching out to qualified prospects through cold email campaigns, LinkedIn messaging, and phone calls
* Converting inbound leads and BDR-generated meetings into qualified opportunities and closed-won deals
* Maintaining accurate records of all activities, pipeline stages, and forecasts in the CRM
* Traveling to conferences and exhibitions to meet prospects, present our services, and strengthen relationships
* Collaborating closely with Technical Consulting, Marketing, BDRs, and Customer Success to ensure smooth hand-offs and high client satisfaction
Required skills
To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will have:
* Expertise in outbound prospecting, discovery, and qualification using frameworks such as BANT or MEDDIC
* Familiarity with CRM platforms (such as HubSpot, Salesforce, or Pipedrive), lead enrichment tools (e.g., LeadIQ, Lusha)
* A structured, organized approach to managing pipeline and follow-ups
* Self-motivated and persistent individual with a “hunter” mentality
* A proactive and results-driven attitude, with a passion for learning and professional growth
* Preferable: an existing rolodex of cybersecurity, IT, audit or compliance decision-makers
Professional requirements:
* 3-5 years of experience in a quota-carrying Account Executive or similar closing role in B2B tech, cybersecurity, or IT services
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (German is a strong plus)
* Ability to work and live in the European Union
Compensation and expectations for performance targets:
* Compensation: Competitive base salary with performance-based commission + employee benefits. €50,000-€80,000 OTE per year, depending on experience and qualifications
* Self-sourced opportunities: 12 BANT-qualified opportunities per quarter
* Pipeline expectations: Target of generating €500K-€800K in qualified pipeline per quarter
* Revenue quota: Achieve or exceed assigned quarterly and annual targets
* Event attendance: Represent Blaze at three major industry events per year
