About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Bookkeeper to join our Finance team. This role is responsible for supporting day-to-day accounting operations, maintaining accurate financial records, and assisting with expense management, reconciliations, accounts payable, and invoicing processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect and organize credit card receipts and supporting documentation from employees and departments
- Review and process expense allocations to the appropriate departments, programs, or accounts
- Perform regular bank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies as needed
- Enter vendor bills and expenses into QuickBooks accurately and in a timely manner
- Assist with preparing, verifying, and issuing customer invoices
- Maintain accurate and organized digital financial records and documentation
- Support the Finance team with general bookkeeping and administrative tasks
- Ensure all financial information is processed in accordance with company procedures and deadlines
- Handle sensitive and confidential financial information with professionalism and discretion
- Assist with special financial projects, audits, and departmental initiatives as needed
- Perform additional duties based on business needs
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper, Accounting Clerk, or similar accounting support role
- Hands‐on experience with QuickBooks
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and problem‐solving skills
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage confidential financial information responsibly
- Reliable high‐speed internet connection
- Reliable computer equipment with microphone and video capabilities
- Quiet and professional remote work environment with minimal interruptions
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with expense management and reconciliations
- Familiarity with accounts payable and invoicing processes
- Ability to work independently, take initiative, and manage multiple priorities
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Benefits
- Competitive compensation based on experience: $14,400 – $18,000 per year, depending on experience
