What You Do
As Risk Manager in Quantitative Risk, reporting directly to the Head of Quantitative Risk, you'll have global coverage responsibility. Your background typically includes an advanced technical degree with extensive practical experience in technical risk within a financial services company. Relevant functional areas include financial, Investment/ALM, and credit analysis; internal model ownership, validation, and result analysis; actuarial analysis of underwriting and accumulation risks.
* Perform and report quarterly SII closings: MCR, SCR for Allianz Partners Subgroup and its insurance LEs.
* Contribute to risk-related regulatory reports: QRT, ORSA, RSR, SFCR.
* Support SII ORSA and planning dialogues, including stress testing and projections: ROE, SCR, financial limits, BCoR. Provide risk inputs for strategic and planning discussions.
* Engage as a reliable SPOC for LoB1 risk topics with Heads of Risk.
* Implement Allianz Partners’ risk strategy and appetite, including limit monitoring.
* Assist in capital steering and optimization, such as dividend capacity and reinsurance strategies.
* Provide decision-makers with data analysis and risk reports to inform business decisions.
* Lead development and implementation of quantitative models and analytics.
* Handle complex data interpretation requests from stakeholders.
* Deliver impact analyses and performance metrics of strategies, recommending improvements.
* Share best practices through coaching on methods, visualization, and analysis processes.
What You Bring
* Master’s degree in Actuarial Mathematics, Engineering, Statistics, or Finance.
* 4-8 years of risk management experience, aiming for seniority.
* Deep understanding of regulatory capital, Solvency II, and relevant quantitative experience.
* Knowledge of key risk-return KPIs: OP, NI, ROE, SCR.
* Risk management or related accreditation, with IFRS and SII focus.
* Familiarity with enterprise risk management trends and frameworks.
* Strong IT skills, especially Microsoft Office.
* Fluency in English.
