The new initiative

We’re expanding our proven AI-driven care management technology, already deployed in the United States, to address Portugal's clinical workflow bottlenecks. As a Sales Executive, you will lead SaaS AI sales in Portugal, a country seeking relief from long emergency department queues, staff shortages, and burnout. Success here could lead to scaling the approach across Europe as our future Head of EU Sales, reporting directly to a US-based GM with extensive sales experience. Your task is to build Portugal’s pipeline from scratch by generating demand, identifying opportunities, and opening new doors. This role is akin to working in a startup environment with uncertainty, rapid pivots, and chaos—ideal for someone who thrives in the unknown, moves fast, and can build pipelines.

What you’ll be doing:

* Sell enterprise SaaS, not devices or services – position our cloud-native AI workflow platform as a solution to reduce admin time and burnout among Portuguese healthcare providers.
* Own the full sales cycle— prospect, demo, negotiate, and close €100k-€500k ARR deals with public (SNS) and private healthcare groups.
* Design and execute the GTM for Portugal – craft local messaging, pricing, and channel tactics across healthcare settings.
* Create demand from scratch – build a €5 million pipeline through outbound efforts, account-based marketing, partner referrals, and thought leadership.
* Navigate complex deals – align clinical, IT, InfoSec, and procurement stakeholders.
* Feed product and market feedback – represent the Portuguese customer to inform product roadmaps and future EU launches.
* Report directly to the General Manager, shadowing a seasoned closer who will coach you on EU expansion.

What you need to have:

* At least 5 years of sales experience selling into Portuguese healthcare;
* Experience selling SaaS, AI, or data products;
* Proven track record of exceeding revenue quotas;
* Fluency in Portuguese and proficiency in English;
* Strong independent follow-up and follow-through skills;
* Ability to communicate value propositions clearly in a competitive environment;
* Experience navigating complex multi-stakeholder deals;
* Ability to generate a pipeline through your efforts;
* Self-driven, motivated, and entrepreneurial mindset;
* Excellent relationship-building skills;
* Proficiency in Google Suite, Salesforce, and related software.

What we would love to see:

* A builder’s mindset, thriving in uncharted territory;
* Experience in start-up environments with rapid iteration;
* Prior EU health-tech sales experience or contacts in Spain, France, Germany, or the UK;
* Track record closing technology deals over €1 million ARR under framework agreements.

Compensation ranges from €95,787 to €150,523 annually, with potential adjustments based on skills, experience, and impact. Compensation includes base salary, variable bonuses, incentives, and stock options. Future compensation is subject to change based on company performance and other factors.
