A leading international group in the real estate and investment sector is looking for an experienced Corporate Legal Lawyer with strong expertise in urban planning and licensing processes to join its legal team. This is an opportunity to work on strategic projects and liaise directly with public authorities and multidisciplinary teams.
Your New Role
As a Corporate Legal Lawyer, you will provide specialized legal support on matters related to urban planning, licensing, and regulatory compliance. You will collaborate closely with architects, internal teams, and external stakeholders, ensuring that all projects comply with applicable laws and regulations while maintaining clear and effective communication.
Key Responsibilities Include
- Advising on urban planning and licensing processes for real estate projects;
- Preparing and reviewing legal documentation related to corporate and urban development matters;
- Liaising with municipal authorities and other public entities to ensure timely approvals;
- Managing legal risks associated with construction and development projects;
- Supporting negotiations and drafting agreements with contractors and service providers;
- Communicating effectively with architects and technical teams to align legal and operational requirements;
- Conducting legal research and staying updated on relevant legislation and regulatory changes.
What You'll Need to Succeed
- Law degree and registration with the Portuguese Bar Association;
- 4–6 years of experience in urban planning law and licensing procedures;
- Proven ability to interact with municipal authorities and navigate regulatory processes;
- Strong communication skills beyond legal jargon, with the ability to collaborate effectively with architects and multidisciplinary teams;
- Fluency in Portuguese and English;
- Residence in Porto preferred (with flexibility to work from Lisbon office).
