Verisure (known in Portugal as Securitas Direct) is seeking a talented, innovative, hands-on, and passionate Senior Accountant to join our Shared Services Center Accounting Team, with colleagues in Sweden, Geneva, Madrid, Paris and Lisbon. The role will report to the SSC Accounting Manager and will be based in Lisbon .
The SSC Accounting function is responsible for providing accounting services to a wide range of legal entities located in Europe, ranging from operational entities to holding entities. This is an exciting new established role that will be working together with senior professionals across our footprint and interact with local operations. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to grow in their role and showcase strong leadership and teambuilding capabilities.

On the back of the extraordinary growth, we have enjoyed in the past years, we aim to centralise parts of our Accounting team and further develop the Accounting function. The Senior Accountant will be a key member of the team and play a critical role to achieve this objective.
Responsibilities will include, among others:
1. Cost analysis
2. Accruals and Reconciliations
3. Fixed assets
4. HFM, Navision and Oracle reports
5. Point of Contact for internal and external stakeholders
6. Review and assure proper classification of cost center and accounts on Journal Entries
7. Weekly and Month-end closing procedures including Reconciliation report
8. Assist manager and peers on the daily activities
9. Performing ad hoc Accounts Payable and Procurement duties as required
10. Collaboration with local finance specialists to accounting, tax, annual reports etc. to ensure adherence to local legislation

11. Experienced professional with approx. 10yrs track-record within Accounting in an international environment
12. Education degree in Finance / Economics / Accounting / Business with deep understanding of Accounting and financial concepts
13. Strong interest for Accounting
14. Good level of written and spoken English (mandatory as all work will be in English)
