Investment Performance Analyst
This is a hybrid role that requires working at least three days a week in the office. The successful candidate will be responsible for calculating, analyzing and evaluating investment performance both at a client and fund level.
Key responsibilities include:
* Performance Calculations: accurately and timely calculate investments performance, attribution and risk calculations.
* Performance Measurement Methodologies: implement and maintain performance measurement methodologies and frameworks to ensure accurate and consistent performance calculations.
* Data Management: manage and analyze large datasets related to investment performance, ensuring data integrity and accuracy by implementing quality control measures.
* Process Optimization: collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize processes and improve the efficiency and effectiveness of performance measurement and analysis.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Investments Performance Measurement, Attribution and Risk experience with performance measurement platforms, and knowledge of industry standards such as Global Investment Performance Standards (GIPS).
Required skills and qualifications include:
* Bachelors or Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Management, Mathematics, Engineering, or similar field.
* Strong Microsoft Office skills.
* Fluent English language proficiency.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret complex data and identify performance trends and patterns.
* Ability to effectively communicate complex performance analysis findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
* Ease with VBA/Python programming languages.
* SQL skills.
* Attention to detail is critical.
* Strong problem-solving skills & ability to clearly articulate complex issues.
* Excellent planning and organizational skills in order to prioritize and effectively manage a wide variety of ongoing tasks.
Preferred skills and qualifications include:
* Project management experience, including planning, execution, and monitoring of performance-related projects.
* Investment management experience, with a strong understanding of investment management principles and practices.
* Experience working at an asset or fiduciary manager.
* Certification or relevant experience in performance analysis and measurement.
