The Role: Application Security Analyst – Vulnerability Management
Location: Portugal
Work Model: Full Remote
Languages: English (B2 - C1)
Eligibility: Currently living in Portugal and be legally authorized to work there
Context:
As a member of the Application Security team, you will play a key role in identifying and managing vulnerabilities detected across our applications. You will assess security findings, determine their priority, and coordinate remediation efforts with the appropriate teams.
Your Profile
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in IT, Engineering, or a related field.
* > 4 years of proven experience in a Vulnerability Analyst or similar cybersecurity role
* Solid understanding of application security concepts and best practices.
* Hands-on experience with security testing tools, including SAST, SCA, and DAST.
* Proficiency in Python for scripting, automation, or data handling.
* Familiarity with data visualisation tools such as Power BI is a plus.
* Detail-oriented with a structured and analytical mindset.
* Capable of making well-justified decisions when evaluating and prioritising vulnerabilities.
What You'll Be Doing:
* Review and analyse application security vulnerabilities identified by security tools.
* Assess risk levels and prioritise remediation actions based on severity and impact.
* Collaborate with development and technical teams to ensure timely resolution of security issues.
* Provide clear guidance and support to teams in implementing effective fixes.
* Contribute to the continuous improvement and automation of security processes and workflows.
