Job Description
This is a remote position.
We are looking for a skilled Data Engineer with significant experience with Snowflake, to join a project with a Nordic partner.
The work can be done full remotely. Communication with the team and stakeholders in English.
Responsibilities
* Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Snowflake and modern ETL/ELT frameworks.
* Implement and enforce Snowflake best practices in performance optimization, security, and cost efficiency.
* Develop robust data models to support analytics, BI, and reporting needs in a cloud-based environment.
* Integrate diverse data sources into Snowflake, ensuring data quality, consistency, and reliability.
* Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize pipeline performance to meet SLAs and business requirements.
* Collaborate with data analysts, data scientists, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable data solutions.
* Drive automation and standardization across data ingestion, transformation, and storage processes.
Requirements
* 3+ years of hands-on experience with Snowflake, including query optimization, schema design, and data warehouse management.
* Strong expertise in SQL and performance tuning within Snowflake.
* Experience in building and maintaining data pipelines in a cloud environment (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
* Solid knowledge of data modeling techniques (star schema, snowflake schema, normalization/denormalization).
* Familiarity with data integration tools and frameworks (e.g., dbt, Airflow, Fivetran, Talend).
* Experience implementing best practices for scalability, security, and cost optimization in Snowflake.
