In this rapidly-expanding part of the iBasis portfolio, you have an opportunity to help grow iBasis into the market leader in IoT connectivity and connectivity management.ABOUT THE ROLE:Reporting to the Global Head of IoT Sales, this role will focus on developing IoT business through a variety of customer types across their assigned region. The Account Manager – IoT is instrumental in developing and executing a strategic sales plan for their region that includes new logo acquisition, existing customer management and growth, and pursuing new growth areas. Leveraging your experience in and knowledge of the mobile network operator (MNO), mobile virtual network operator (MVNO), wireless technology, and wireless hardware ecosystem to establish and grow the iBasis brand and share of the enterprise, reseller, distributor, and agent marketspace.RESPONSIBILITIES:Participating and implementing a sales strategy in IoT connectivity and connectivity management.Grow existing accounts by developing long-term strategic account plans and executing those plans.Achieving sales targets established by management by managing a portfolio of customers and successfully acquiring new customers. It is critical to balance your time between managing/growing existing customers while simultaneously developing and closing a pipeline of new prospects/customers.Business Development – identifying other potential areas of growth including, but not limited to – distributors, channels, resellers, and MVNOs.Monitor and analyze market trends, providing market intelligence concerning technology changes, market dynamics, industry trends, and competitive activities.Develop and maintain close relationships with assigned customers, professionally managing customer requirements and identifying needs.Regular tracking and reporting on KPI’s for assigned customer base.Regular and timely reporting to direct management for sales performance review.Research, strategically target, and develop relationships with new potential customers.Strategic account planning for your top accounts to ensure successful onboarding through long-term growth and success in deploying wireless IoT solutions.Providing regular updates of your customers’ and the market requirements for business planning and product development. Proactively stimulating collaboration internally and cross-functionally.Actively work with CRM to manage your opportunities towards meeting objectives and to provide transparent and consistent updates to management regarding progress.ABOUT YOU:You are an independent and self-confident professional with excellent communication and organizational skills. You are well versed in IoT solutions, including wireless connectivity, management platforms, and hardware types and technologies. As a tenured professional in the industry, you bring a keen awareness of the vast ecosystem of competitors and partners in the IoT space. You understand the various roles this ecosystem includes and can help position iBasis as a disruptive force within IoT.You are energetic, results-driven, and thrive in a fast-paced sales environment where your successes are rewarded.You are able to self-motivate, inspire and be inspired by others in an open, collaborative and results driven team.You are a motivated and business driven person with experience in selling wireless/cellular IoT services and platforms to manage those services.You will have ambitious targets to grow existing accounts, close new logos and develop markets to enhance the position of iBasis.You are able to develop business with new prospects.You have the ability to translate the specific requirements of customers into a clear strategy that drives results..Your ability to translate the specific requirements of customers into a clear strategic customer approach is essential to support you in building profitable solutions.YOU’LL BRING:Bachelor’s/University degree5+ years of experience in international telecom sales and key account management, preferably in IoT connectivity.Experience with mobile networks, wireless devices and technologies, and related hardware.Self-drive and a motivation to succeed are as important as teamwork and transparency.Strong creative thinking and problem-solving skills.Customer focused with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.Regular travel required, including customer visits and event conferences.Must be fluent in English, second language preferred.
