Software Tester
As a Software Tester, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and functionality of our software products. You will be responsible for designing and executing test cases, identifying and reporting bugs, and collaborating with developers to resolve issues. Your attention to detail and critical thinking skills will be essential in ensuring that our customers have the best possible user experience.
Responsibilities:
- Create detailed and comprehensive test plans based on project requirements
- Execute manual and automated tests to identify bugs and ensure product functionality
- Report and track issues using bug tracking software
- Collaborate with developers to troubleshoot and resolve issues
- Continuously improve testing processes to increase efficiency and effectiveness
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in software testing
Requirements:
- Proven work experience as a Software Tester or similar role
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies
- Experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test cases
- Knowledge of bug tracking tools such as JIRA or Bugzilla
- Familiarity with software development life cycle (SDLC)
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- ISTQB Certified Tester Foundation Level (CTFL) certification
- Experience in test automation using Selenium or similar tools
Location: This position is based in Almada, Portugal. However, remote work options may be available for exceptional candidates.
