To know more about us click here.Mission of the Role:Driving program procurement toward project health and success.Key Objectives of this Role:Responsible for delivering mature, competitive costed BOMs for each customer round that meet the target material content / material margin, covering: Clusters & 2W (main focus for this open position), Displays, CDC, Infotainment & HPC, ElectrificationWork closely with Product Line leaders & Sales to determine clear "Should cost" and Customer targets for the product design well ahead of the RFQ processDemonstrate leadership and product knowledge depth in interactions with Commodity teams and key suppliers to help challenge design and costsLead/ support cross-functional discussions with PL and commodity teams to pre-align on gaps to "should-cost" that enables an agreed "bom task" on both design and commercial teamsTogether and under the leadership of the Advanced Program Pursuit leaderDrive for forecasted Pursuit Engg BOMs and co-develop "Platform Costed BOMs" ahead of G0Develop Platform cBOM database focusing on the Critical parts ahead of customer RFQs to secure a Round 1 - Gate 1 (R1G1) maturityEngagement with commodity leads and drive product design and BOM Cost optimization ideas ahead of customer RFQTech engagement on product architecture along with PL lead - Bridge between Tech roadmaps & Commodity strategiesChallenge and work with Commodity on volume consolidation strategy, including pursuit forecasts (need PL & Sales support on volumes)Ensure PL is developing BOM with "Design for sourcing" approach - avoid NFND/ EOL & select latest tech parts.Engage with key suppliers jointly with PL and Commodity leadership to pitch for future opportunitiesKey Performance Indicators:Drive for NBW with aggressive material margins for all C and D pursuitsDrive for early maturity: Should costs (PL) and CBOMMinimize the gap between purchasing commitment & should costRobustness in design and supplier quote assumptions for the Top 5 cost contributors at G0 itselfEnsure seamless transition to the execution team with key assumptions/ tasks and risks at G1 for maintaining marginsCompleted Team integration.Supporting 40 rounds of RFQ phaseHandling daily activities following Vthe isteon process - No NC records in AuditsIdentifying 2 items as potential for improvementQualification, Experience, and Skills:Bachelor's Degree, Master's preferred, Electrical Engineering preferred5-7 years in responsible roles within an international business environment and procurement/purchasing lead experienceStrong knowledge of the supply base and costing of various commoditiesAbility to clearly present sourcing strategy for projects and risk assessmentsAbility to lead and challenge cross-functional teams with focus and accountability.Drive Value Chain analysis (VAVE, TQCM)Effective presentation skills and Strong communication skillsKnowledge of the EV market and suppliers to support EV Product portfolios.Ability to balance risk and achieve the lowest material cost within very tight deadlinesLead from the frontBuild strong teamsLead the marketStrong business partnerCritical thinkerVisionaryResilientPerseverantRisk assessment ability and "Anticipate" mindsetReporting Structure:Reports to the regional lead of Program ProcurementVisteon Culture:If you thrive in a fast-paced, organizational culture that requires agility, adaptability, and a growth mindset from its employees to thrive and stay ahead of the curve, Visteon is the place.
