Job Description
The role of the Lead Mechanical Design Engineer is to oversee the full design lifecycle of mechanical systems and components for floating offshore platforms, ensuring designs meet project requirements and industry standards.
You will lead concept and CAD modelling, verification, fabrication, and installation - ensuring compliance with safety and operational needs.

Key Responsibilities
* Lead the mechanical design of systems and components, ensuring manufacturability and cost-effectiveness.
* Oversight of CAD modelling, drawings, and design documentation, focusing on maintainability.
* Collaboration with structural engineers to integrate mechanical systems into platform design.
* Direction and review of mechanical analyses, including stress, fatigue, and thermal performance.

Requirements
1. Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
2. 8+ years in mechanical design engineering, with direct experience in floating/offshore structures.
3. Able to lead complex engineering projects in marine/offshore renewable energy.
4. Proven track record in design for manufacture, installation, and maintenance of offshore mechanical systems.
5. Expert-level CAD skills (SolidWorks, Creo, AutoCAD) and proficiency in 3D modelling and drafting.
6. Strong structural understanding, including stress, fatigue, and buckling considerations.
