Lead the Custom Credit Governance team at Siemens Energy, defining and implementing customer-specific credit policies. Manage vendor relationships, address critical issues, and guide analysts on rating frameworks and metrics.
How You'll Make an Impact
1. Performing analysis and evaluation of customer credit risk
2. Defining customer-specific credit management policies for the organization
3. Supporting credit analyst teams with manual rating frameworks and key indicators
4. Serving as the primary contact for addressing complex customer credit concerns brought up by regional teams
5. Partnering with Accounting to ensure credit risk data supports IFRS 9 provisioning and broader credit management processes
6. Working with internal collaborators to develop customer-tailored risk management tools like parent guarantees, bank guarantees, and collateral options
7. Formulating automated and manual models for evaluating customer credit risk in line with company policies
8. Collaborating with IT to implement, test, and approve changes in automated credit rating/limit models
9. Ensuring adherence to the customer credit management policy framework
10. Maintaining connections with external service providers that assist with credit scoring and data analytics
11. Serving as a point of contact for addressing concerns raised by regional teams regarding credit agencies
12. Delivering executive-level reporting on open customer credit exposures, trends, and key risk indicators
13. Contributing to risk-related regulatory and compliance reporting
What you bring
14. Bachelor's or Master's or equivalent experience in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
15. Strong governance approach with a proven ability to create, implement, and oversee customer credit frameworks
16. Critical thinking and ability to translate complex credit requirements into scalable, efficient processes
17. More than a decade of experience in managing credit risk for customers, ideally within a corporate environment
18. Proficient knowledge of financial analysis, credit rating methodologies, and risk management frameworks
19. Experience with large, sophisticated entities or multinational clients is highly preferred
20. Understanding of the energy and industrial sectors, with knowledge of project finance, large-scale supply chains, and market trends
21. Proficient knowledge of financial documents, credit scoring models, and cash flow analysis
22. Ability to identify and quantify risks associated with sophisticated, long-term projects and customers in regulated markets
23. Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret large volumes of data and present insights effectively
24. Proficiency in English is required and an additional language is preferred
25. Knowledge of international trade regulations, export controls, and geopolitical risks
26. Agile, adaptable mentality with a proactive approach to risk identification and mitigation
