About the Position:
We seek a Business Development Manager to oversee our expansion in France and French Overseas Territories.
Reporting to the European Sales Manager, this role will involve proactively generating leads and converting them into sales opportunities within the solar sector.
The selected candidate will work closely with internal teams and partners, supporting business development and sales activities while expanding our presence in assigned markets.
This position requires regular travel to France to visit clients, distributors, and partners, as well as participation in solar industry events.
Key Responsibilities:
* Proactively identify, generate, and convert leads into sales opportunities in target markets with a focus on solar cleaning companies, O&M companies, and C&I and Utility Scale Asset Managers.
* Research and analyze potential business partners and customers within assigned markets.
* Develop customer potential by identifying key and unmet needs and translating them into business and innovation opportunities.
* Monitor market trends and competitive landscapes to identify new business opportunities.
* Provide pre- and post-sale support and training to new clients and ongoing distributors.
* Ensure efficient communication and information exchange between internal teams and external partners.
* Conduct regular international travel, particularly to France, to meet clients and attend events.
Skills & Qualifications:
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Management, Marketing, or a related field.
* 2–4 years of experience in sales or business development, with a strong customer-oriented mindset.
* Ability to adapt speech to different client profiles, from O&M technicians to Asset Managers.
* Experience managing international Key Accounts.
* Experience in the solar industry is advantageous.
* Native or fluent French (spoken and written).
* Fluent Portuguese (spoken and written).
* Good command of English is an advantage.
* Excellent presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
* Self-driven, proactive, and resilient profile.
* Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and CRM/ERP systems.
