About the role
Reporting directly to theCFO, you will play a key role in strengthening Host Wise'sinternal accounting structure, bringing greater accuracy, control and consistency to our financial operations.
This role is ideal for someone who combinesstrong accounting fundamentalswith ahands-on,ownership-driven mindset, and who ismotivated by building structure in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
What you'll be doing
Leading the company's day-to-dayaccounting operations, ensuring accuracy and reliability across financial records;
Preparingmonthly closingsand supporting the delivery of timely and consistent financial information;
Ensuringcompliance with tax and accounting obligations under the Portuguese framework(IVA, retenções, etc.);
Managingreconciliations, supportingcurrent account control, and maintaining strong documentation standards;
Supporting thepreparation of financial statementsand internal reporting in close collaboration with the CFO;
Improving accounting processes, controls and workflows to support scale and operational efficiency;
Providingstructureandreview support across the finance team, helping raise the quality and consistency of execution.
Skills for the Role
Degree in Accounting, Management or similar;
5+ yearsof experience in accounting roles, preferably with exposure to ERPs and invoicing systems;
Certified Chartered Accountant (Portuguese TOC / OCC certification);
Strong knowledge ofPortuguese taxand accounting framework;
Autonomous profilewith strong ownership mindset.
