What we're looking for:
* Install, configure, patch, and manage SQL Server 2019+ environments (single and High Availability / Availability Groups), ensuring security, performance, and version compliance across DEV, CQ, and PROD.
* Monitor and optimise environments through index and statistics maintenance, advanced performance tuning (rowstore, columnstore, full-text, in-memory), and deep use of SQL Server DMVs.
* Troubleshoot complex performance and configuration issues in collaboration with development teams, supporting T-SQL scripting and ensuring smooth sprint-based deployments.
* Enforce strong security best practices (principle of least privilege), backups/restores, rollbacks, and environment resiliency across enterprise-grade infrastructures.
* Work within Azure DevOps (ADO), source control, and multi-domain environments, with exposure to CI/CD, PostgreSQL, Power BI, and Public Cloud as strong differentiators.
