About The Job
Within RISK, the Global Practice RISK IRC is responsible for the independent review of credit, market, counterparty, insurance, and operational risks, as well as the RISK ORC function of RISK. The Risk Independent Review (RISK IR) team conducts independent assessments of the risk measurement systems for risks covered by RISK IRC. These reviews vary in scope and depth, depending on regulatory requirements and the subject matter.
Within RISK IRC, the Team Framework, Processes & Systems (FPS) oversees the review of all BNP Paribas Group's processes and information systems that contribute to the measurement of credit, market, or counterparty risks. The topics include:
* Information systems and data quality, including data supporting risk models (PD, LGD, EAD), market (VaR, IRC), and counterparty (EEPE);
* Systems for producing risk indicators and calculating Risk Weighted Assets;
* Internal and regulatory reporting, data collection, and reconciliation processes;
* Regulatory compliance and internal standards adherence;
* Use of internal rating systems and governance frameworks.
Main Activities:
* Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, internal procedures, and systems;
* Review and analyze risk measurement systems and assess associated risks;
* Issue reports and recommend action plans to relevant departments;
* Conduct independent reviews of risk measurement systems across BNP Paribas globally;
* Produce analyses related to laws, regulations, and internal procedures;
* Control quality of risk monitoring systems;
* Write and present reports, propose remediation plans, and oversee their implementation;
* Lead review processes, advise, and coach team members;
* Review deliverables and assist in preparing high-quality reports.
Profile and Skills:
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mathematics, or related fields;
* Minimum 3 years of experience in Banking, Audit, or Consulting;
* Proficiency in English (written and oral);
* Knowledge of Banking Prudential Regulation, SAS, SQL, Python, and R;
* Results-driven with strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
* Ability to simplify complex information, innovate, and focus on clients.
