The Global Commodity Manager will oversee the strategic sourcing and procurement of electronic components, ensuring optimal supplier performance and cost efficiency. This role requires expertise in industry, with a focus on procurement strategies.
Description
Develop and implement strategic sourcing for electronic components, plans in alignment with business goals.
Identify, evaluate, and manage relationships with key suppliers to ensure optimal performance and cost efficiency.
Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements with suppliers to achieve cost savings and value optimization.
Monitor market trends and industry developments to identify opportunities and mitigate risks.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, quality, and manufacturing, to ensure smooth supply chain operations.
Manage supplier performance through regular evaluations and develop improvement plans as needed.
Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and relevant regulations in all procurement activities.
Prepare and present reports on commodity performance and cost-saving initiatives to senior management.
Profile
A successful Global Commodity Manager should have:
Proven experience in procurement management, particularly in the industry sector.
In-depth knowledge of electronic components markets and suppliers.
Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
Ability to analyze market trends and make data-driven decisions.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Proficiency in relevant procurement management tools and software.
A degree in engineering, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field (preferred).
Fluency in English; additional language skills are a plus
