Product Developer, Woven Tops / Outwear
What will you do?
A day in the life of a Product Developer for Woven Tops and Outerwear at Dickies looks a little like this.
The Product Developer for Men’s Woven Tops and Outerwear will lead the development and execution of the men’s global tops and outerwear category. This role requires a strategic and innovative individual with a strong background in outerwear development. You will be responsible for developing new products from concept to production, ensuring high-quality standards, timely delivery, and ability to negotiate/manage cost to meet brand’s objectives. This role reports to the Director of Product Development.

* Manage the product life cycle from concept to final production, ensuring all deadlines and deliverables are met according to the go-to-market calendar.
* Analyze and negotiate costs throughout the development process, demonstrating a proven ability to cost engineer/develop profitable product while maintaining quality and design intent.
* Work closely with cross-functional team members including design, merchandising, raw materials and technical design, as well as the VF sourcing teams in Asia and Panama, demonstrating a proven ability to influence teams to adhere to development and sourcing strategies.
* Own the setup, management, completion and accuracy of the PLM system for newness and large amount of carryover product, working with cross-functional team members to ensure system completeness.
* Review and approve all submits, including wash, trim, graphics, and embroideries, ensuring accuracy and compliance with brand standards.
* Maintain and update seasonal trackers for all products within the category, reporting development status to cross-functional teams.
* Present product development strategies and results to senior leadership and key stakeholders.
* Sample management throughout the development and production cycle.
* Proven ability to manage change.

Additionally, while formal education in a related field is great to have, we are most interested in your 5 years of experience and professional achievements.
The foundation skills you will need in this position are:
* Strong organizational and project management skills
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and product lifecycle management (PLM) software, with a particular emphasis on Excel
* Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
* Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
* Creative mindset with the ability to support innovation in product offerings
* Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external partners
* Knowledge of market trends and consumer behavior
* Fluency in English
* Minimum of 5 years of experience in product development or production, preferably in the apparel or consumer goods industry

Hiring Range: $95,040.00 USD - $118,800.00 USD annually
Incentive Potential: This position is eligible for additional compensation awards that may include an annual incentive plan, sales incentive, or commission potential. Specific details of the additional compensation eligibility for this position will be provided during the recruiting and interview process.
