You will join Aurum Solutions' internal IT function as a hands‐on IT Support Engineer, working alongside developers and the wider IT team to ensure the smooth running of internal systems, and to support internal staff. This is a new role that has arisen due to significant growth in the development team over the past year, with the key requirement to enable the wider development and product teams to focus on product delivery and improvements.A key requirement will be to work alongside the UK IT team to ensure both sites continue to operate as one unit.This position is ideal for a technically competent, proactive self‐starter who enjoys variety, problem‐solving, working with technical staff, and owning issues end‐to‐end.Key Responsibilities End‐User Support & TroubleshootingSupport staff with Windows laptop setup and maintenance, including onboarding and offboarding.Provide users with advice and guidance on best practices.Provide hands‐on assistance with application configuration and setup, and patch management.Coordination with the Aurum SOC (external provider) to assist with escalated issues.Manage and monitor Windows Desktop/Server environments using Intune, Microsoft Defender and other tools as appropriate.Assist with automation \\ scripting to improve efficiency and repeatability of tasks.Investigate and resolve internal network or performance issues.Hardware Procurement & DeploymentOrder, configure, and distribute new devices to staff.Maintain inventory and coordinate deliveries and supplier relationships.Manage hardware support issues and coordinate local remediation where necessary.Maintain clear and accurate documentation & contribute to process Improvement.Required Skills & ExperienceProven troubleshooting and problem‐solving skills.Strong experience with Windows 10/11 desktop administration, plus Windows Server and Linux system administration.Experience managing devices using Microsoft Intune (or similar MDM).Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (LAN/WAN, VPN, VLANs, firewalls, DNS).Hands‐on experience administering Entra ID / Microsoft 365.Hands‐on experience administering Azure Cloud infrastructure,Strong process and documentation skills.Experience of ISO27001 or other compliance/security‐focused businesses.PowerShell or similar scripting experience.Experience supporting SaaS platforms such as Salesforce, Claude.ai & Figma.Experience in supporting developers with automation and source control systems.MS SQL / database administration.Excellent communication and stakeholder support skills.Apple Mac configuration and managementFamiliarity with AWS and/or GCP services.Experience in managing Atlassian Products (Jira/Confluence/Bitbucket)Experience managing Enterprise GitHub.Personal AttributesProactive, ownership‐driven, and able to work independently.Calm under pressure and able to juggle multiple priorities.Strong customer service mindset with a collaborative attitude.Willingness to get hands‐on with everything from troubleshooting to process automation.Why This Role Matters This role is important as we continue to expand our development capability in Portugal and adapt to the challenges that come with growth and change.#J-18808-Ljbffr
