INTERNATIONAL OFFICE (MATERNITY LEAVE)
Position Overview Join our dynamic International Office team at CATÓLICA-LISBON, where excellence in education meets global diversity. We are seeking a passionate and experienced International Relations Specialist to play a pivotal role in elevating the academic, exchange, and overall student experience at CATÓLICA-LISBON.
This position involves ensuring a seamless onboarding process and on-going student support for full-time and exchange students entering our academic community. Additionally, it aims to provide comprehensive support to all students, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Responsibilities:
Supporting administrative processes related to the onboarding and integration of both full-time and exchange students, with a primary focus on first-year international students.
Ensuring process management within the framework of international mobility for Undergraduate and Master's levels (short-term mobility programs and semester-long Exchange programs).
Organizing workflows and processing documentation to facilitate smooth integration for international students, both full-time and exchange.
Handling students' enquiries either face-to-face, by e-mail or by phone.
Organizing student events for student integration and international mobility promotion.
Delivering public presentations to students, faculty, and staff whenever required.
Producing related content for mobility platforms and the institution's website.
Communicating and coordinating with other internal departments and external stakeholders.
Contacting renowned partner universities around the world whilst building good relationships between schools.
Qualifications:
Degree in International Relations, Communication, Public Relations or equivalent.
Mandatory outstanding English proficiency (both written and spoken), equivalent to C1 or higher.
Minimum of 1/3 years and a maximum of 4 years of professional experience (in a customer service environment, ideally).
Highly numeric, structured, and analytical thinking, with strong Excel skills.
Experience in an academic environment, international mobility programs, and/or handling immigration and visa procedures will be a plus.
Energetic, hardworking, and a strong team player. • Highly organized, methodical, and detail oriented.
Ability to manage a high volume of e-mails effectively. • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and public speaking skills.
Demonstrated cross-cultural sensitivity and experience working with diverse student populations.
