At Ryan, we are on an exciting journey of growth, strengthening our Tax Advisory capabilities in an increasingly complex international environment. As part of this expansion, we are looking for a Senior Tax Advisor to join our team in Braga.
This role focuses primarily on indirect tax matters, particularly VAT, supporting both external and internal clients with timely, accurate and practical advisory services in a collaborative and international setting.
Duties and Responsibilities
* Conduct research and prepare high quality technical tax advice, primarily in VAT and indirect tax matters.
* Support and supervise junior team members, ensuring accuracy, quality and timely delivery.
* Participate in client meetings and contribute to managing ongoing client relationships.
* Liaise with tax authorities and international partners where required.
* Contribute to knowledge sharing initiatives, including technical articles, legislative monitoring and marketing activities.
* Support the commercial aspects of engagements, including proposals and client communications.
Education and Experience
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Law, Tax, Economics, Management or a related field.
* Strong written and spoken English is required. French or Spanish would be a plus.
* Minimum 3 years of experience in VAT, ideally within a tax advisory or consulting environment. Exposure to international or cross-border matters is highly valued.
Technical Skills
* Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook, as well as strong research and analytical capabilities.
