THE ROLE
We are looking for a Frontend Engineer. You will be working in a collaborative team environment and be part of a well-motivated and growing team. WHAT YOU'LL DO
1. Create solutions at Farfetch.com on a global scale, consumed by fashion lovers all around the world
2. Amaze customers by creating personalised experiences crafted with care
3. Be part of the Front-end community, where we all work together and help each other to create the best experience for our customers at Farfetch.com
4. Collaborate directly with Design and Product teams to create meaningful and delightful experiences
5. Work in a modern stack, React-based, with unique challenges and an always evolving environment
6. Help developing a scalable and sustainable system through all our web products
7. Contribute to our open-sourced packages, used on all our consumer products.
WHO YOU ARE
1. A professional with 3+ years of experience in Front End development
2. Proficient on the base Front End development technologies including HTML5/CSS3/JavaScript
3. Proven knowledge and experience in JavaScript, including concepts like asynchronous programming, closures, ES6 and React.
4. A professional with an understanding of JavaScript design patterns, data structures, and web architecture and how to apply them
5. Understanding of the common web performance relevant metrics + Web Vitals metrics is a plus
6. Passionate about clean and well-documented code
7. Knowledge of testing tools such as Jest and React Testing Library
8. Experience with Typescript is a plus
9. Experience with GraphQL is a plus
10. Experience with JAVA/C# is a plus
11. Concerned and engaged with Accessibility (ARIA) is a plus
12. Proven experience in working collaboratively within a multi-team environment, dealing with extensive code bases
13. Well-versed in utilising design systems to create cohesive and visually appealing solutions.
