The Role: Senior Data Engineer
Location: Lisbon
Work Model: 2 days a week onsite; 3 days remote from Portugal
Sector: Financial Services
️ Languages: English (B2 - C1)
Eligibility: Currently living in Portugal and be legally authorized to work there
Your Profile
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in IT, Engineering, or a related field.
* 5+ years of experience in data engineering or related roles.
* Strong hands-on experience with AWS services: Glue, Redshift, S3, Lambda, and Athena.
* Proficiency in Python, SQL, and data modeling.
* Experience with ETL/ELT pipeline development and orchestration tools.
* Familiarity with CI/CD processes for data pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Terraform.
* Knowledge of data governance, security, and best practices.
* Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams.
️ What You'll Be Doing:
* Design, implement, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL processes in AWS.
* Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and business teams to deliver analytics-ready datasets.
* Optimize data architecture for performance, cost, and scalability.
* Automate workflows and support CI/CD for data solutions.
* Monitor, troubleshoot, and support production data systems.
* Mentor junior engineers and contribute to best practices within the data engineering team.
