General tasks/ responsibilities.
• The System Specialist has to work on four main areas: Support, Monitor, Troubleshoot, Report
• Serve as a Level 3 Systems Specialist in a global team of Systems Specialists.
• Troubleshoot and solve Incidents related to Windows Server, Azure systems, Active Directory, GPO administration and related storage and network systems
• Build, Upgrade and maintain Windows servers and Azure services
• Update documentation in the IT Operations SharePoint folders as needed
• Contribute to weekly or monthly reports
• Adhere to Change Management, Asset Administration, and other ITIL processes
• Maintain skillset with trainings as needed to fulfill the responsibilities.
• Participate in IT Projects as needed.
• Ensure that systems are within support by maintaining proper lifecycle guidelines.
• Have expertise with one or more of the following subjects in the IT competency matrix:
• System (Compute)
• Storage
• Collaboration
• Monitoring
Daily tasks/responsibilities
• System tasks are stored in the ITSM
• All Systems Specialist must monitor the Systems Specialist queue and meet the departments SLA.
• View and maintain monitoring systems to ensure system stability, capacity requirements and Disaster Recovery requirements
Weekly tasks/responsibilities
• Monitor server and related system patch and update status.
• Monitor malware protection status of the systems.
• Ensure that systems are properly backed up and be able to restore
Monthly or Quarterly tasks/responsibilities
• Ensure that all systems are enrolled in the Patch Management System, the Monitoring System(s), the Backup System, and the CMDB
• Work with internal and external audits as needed to ensure compliance.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
• Minimum 5 years' experience in Systems administration
• Must possess some relevant systems' certifications – Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft Windows Server 2016 or newer.
• Mandatory specialist experience in implementing and maintaining Windows Server environment with in-depth knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policies and DNS;
• Mandatory specialist experience in implementing and maintaining Microsoft Exchange environments On-Prem and/or Online.
• Mandatory specialist experience in maintaining Microsoft Azure, Teams, OneDrive, Azure access management,
• Must have experience with AKS (Azure Kubernetes Service).
• Preferable experience in Azure Integration Services.
• Preferable experience with Monitoring Tools such as: Solarwinds, Azure Monitoring, Scom.
• Able to provide input for system architecture on a new site and existing System infrastructure.
• Manages complexity and ability to work under pressure
• Keep the IT community informed on any new initiatives and decisions taken that might have an impact on day-to-day business
• Participate in Team and IT Project meetings
• Ensure a cross functional alignment to minimize down-time within the overall IT landscape
• Flexibility for global travel.
