Join us as a Freelance Data Scientist (May/June – December 2026)We're looking for a data scientist to join our team on a fixed term from May/June 2026 to the end of December 2026 (until Christmas time).What you'll work on Applied data analysis using time-series and sensor data from smartphones and wearables Feature extraction and analysis in at least one domain (e.g. gait/motor or audio/speech data) Supporting evidence-generation activities related to neurological conditions Data quality checks, basic validation, debugging data and documentation of results Collaboration with science, product, and engineering teamsWhat we're looking for MSc (or PhD) in Data Science, Biomedical Engineering, Neuroscience, or related field At least 2+ years of hands-on data science experience (ideally from industry) Strong Python skills (NumPy, Pandas, SciPy; NLP libraries a plus) Experience with time-series or sensor-derived data Ability to own defined analyses with light guidance when neededNice to have Exposure to aging, neurology, or related areas Experience with clinical or real-world digital health data Familiarity with NLP or speech pipelines Interest in digital biomarkers or applied healthcare researchYou don't need to tick every box to apply — if you have a solid foundation and are curious about digital health, we'd love to hear from you.Contract: Freelance · Full-time but potential for part-time setup May – December 2026 - potential for continued engagement pending business needs Europe-based candidates preferred (ideally Ireland or Portugal)About Us – Beats Medical Beats Medical is dedicated to improving lives through digital health innovation.
