We are seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to design, build, and evolve internal developer platforms that empower engineering teams to deliver software faster, safer, and at scale. This role focuses on enabling developer productivity, operational excellence, and platform reliability through automation, standardization, and modern DevOps and SRE practices.
You will play a key role in shaping the internal platform ecosystem, leveraging technologies such as Backstage, Kubernetes, and Infrastructure as Code, while collaborating closely with product and engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design, develop, and enhance internal developer platforms using Backstage and related frameworks.
* Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and GitOps workflows to support efficient, repeatable deployments.
* Integrate and operate container orchestration solutions including Kubernetes and Docker.
* Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices using Terraform to ensure scalable and consistent environments.
* Collaborate with product, development, and security teams to deliver secure, reliable, and scalable platforms.
* Drive automation-first strategies to reduce operational overhead and improve developer experience.
* Apply SRE principles to improve service reliability, availability, and performance.
* Embed observability (monitoring, logging, alerting) and security-by-design into platform architecture.
* Contribute to platform standards, documentation, and best practices across the organization.
Required Skills & Competencies:
* Strong hands-on experience with Backstage and platform engineering tooling.
* Solid expertise in Kubernetes, Docker, and container-based architectures.
* Proven experience with Infrastructure as Code, particularly Terraform.
* Strong understanding of CI/CD methodologies and modern software delivery pipelines.
* Experience with monitoring, logging, and incident response frameworks.
* Ability to design scalable, self-service platforms that improve developer productivity.
