What You'll Do Deploy, manage, and optimize PostgreSQL workloads running on OpenShift environments Design and maintain backup and recovery processes, replication mechanisms, and high-availability/disaster recovery strategies for PostgreSQL Support the migration and operation of a large-scale OpenShift infrastructure hosting critical financial applications Develop and maintain automation using Ansible and Infrastructure-as-Code practices Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize database and cluster performance to ensure platform stability and reliability Implement and maintain security best practices, including RBAC, secrets management, encryption, and network policies Participate in on-call rotations and scheduled maintenance activities, including Saturday production windows Collaborate with DevOps, Platform Engineering, and Development teams to support mission-critical environments Provide operational support across additional database technologies when required, including Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, and Redshift Qualifications Proven experience managing PostgreSQL in production environments, including performance tuning, backup/recovery, replication, and HA/DR strategies Hands‐on experience with OpenShift in operational environments Strong experience with Kubernetes administration and containerised workloads Practical experience developing and maintaining Ansible playbooks Good understanding of Kubernetes security concepts, including RBAC, encryption, secrets management, and network policies Experience working in on‐call or shift‐based operational environments Ability to work independently in mission‐critical and high‐availability systems Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem‐solving skills Excellent communication and collaboration abilities At DataSmart , you will have the opportunity to integrate into a solid company and participate in projects of high recognition, nationally and internationally, with an appealing technological environment and career progression.
