In Portugal, as a Senior O2C Specialist, you will ensure that performance goals are met across all operations and fulfil client expectations related to operational excellence.
What You Will Do In This Role
Lead, manage and perform O2C operations: order management, billing, collections, cash application, and dispute resolution.
Prepare and review AR aging reports, drive collection strategies, and reduce DSO.
Manage customer and internal stakeholder relationships, resolve escalated disputes, and negotiate payment terms.
Ensure compliance with Audit/SOX/internal controls, accounting standards, IFRS and tax implications.
Drive process automation, standardization, and efficiency initiatives.
Support month-end & quarter-end closing, reconciliations, and reporting to senior management.
Train and mentor junior O2C specialists to build a strong team.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Sales, Logistics, Treasury, Tax).
Your Qualifications
Fluent German (C2) and English (C1).
5–7 years of O2C / AR / Finance Operations experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory/lead role.
Deep knowledge of O2C processes, financial controls, and compliance frameworks.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent stakeholder management and negotiation skills.
Hands-on experience in ERP systems (SAP/Oracle/NetSuite/Workday).
Exposure to global business environments and multi-currency transactions.
Leadership and mentoring capabilities.
Advanced Excel and reporting skills.
