The Sourcing & Procurement Specialist - Senior will have responsibility for sourcing and category management activities in assigned categories such as Contract Transportation – Road Linehaul. Collaborating with business partners, you will liaise with key stakeholders to develop and implement sourcing strategies.
We seek a fast-learning professional who is proactive, able to build strong relationships with business partners, set category strategies, identify and analyze cost-saving opportunities, and execute multi-country tenders via our e-sourcing platforms. You will also drive the execution of supplier award decisions.
This role involves managing international tenders and continuously scanning the business environment for opportunities to improve quality, reduce costs, and enhance service through QDM initiatives. We emphasize ongoing personal development in areas like QDM, project management, and market knowledge, especially in road linehaul logistics.
Responsibilities include:
1. Performing category management, including strategic sourcing, supplier relationship, contract, performance, and risk management.
2. Leading sourcing strategies at international/regional levels to reduce costs and develop sustainable initiatives.
3. Analyzing market trends and supply market intelligence to identify opportunities.
4. Reporting procurement data and proposing improvements.
5. Managing stakeholder relationships to support strategic sourcing plans.
6. Defining sourcing strategies aligned with business requirements.
7. Leading RFx processes, including e-sourcing events, contract negotiations, and legal liaising.
8. Supporting procurement excellence projects.
Required experience and skills:
* Relevant international procurement, strategic sourcing, and category management experience, preferably in a multinational environment.
* Ability to work independently and lead strategic sourcing programs.
* Strong data analysis, market research, and contract development skills.
* Excellent stakeholder and supplier management skills.
* Robust change management and multi-project handling abilities.
* Proficiency in MS Office, especially Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
* Fluent English; additional European languages are a plus.
* Strong communication, contractual knowledge, and negotiation skills.
* European nationality or Dutch work permit.
* Effective collaboration and assertiveness in presenting approaches.
