DATA SCIENTIST (M/F) – PORTO Operating as a Senior Data Scientist within BNP Paribas Personal Finance, you will apply data analytics and visualization techniques to solve business challenges across multiple geographies. Responsibilities Produce and optimize data analytics models and tools. Ensure scalability and code optimization of our engines (RAM, cores, other IT resources). Run Python-based analytical engines on a regular basis (monthly, weekly, daily) to serve countries and automate run phases. Mentor junior team members. Qualifications Degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics or related fields. Strong programming and scripting skills in Python, academic knowledge about machine learning, statistical analysis (AB testing, significance tests) and quantitative analysis skills. Knowledge of development pipelines (Git, CI/CD), agile tools (Jira), databases (relational and graph – Vertica, Oracle, SQL Server), experience with ETL, BI/visualization tools (Tableau, PowerBI). Good collaboration, communication, adaptability and initiative spirit, high focus on delivery, detail-oriented mindset. Fluency in oral and written English. At least 3 years of experience (manager 3 to 5 years). Open for occasional travel in Europe.
