We are looking for a Senior Java Developer for a hybrid project in Braga.
Key requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in Java development, with proficiency in the latest Java editions, including expertise in Spring Boot.
- Strong knowledge of AWS, Microservices architecture, and design patterns.
- Experience with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with frontend technologies like React.js or Angular is a strong plus.
- Experience with Node.js and PostgreSQL database is a plus.
- Solid understanding of security best practices related to APIs and data privacy.
- Proficiency in Agile/Scrum methodologies and a commitment to driving Agile practices within the team.
- Comfortable with DevOps practices involving configuration management, CI/CD pipelines, Gitflow, IaC, deployment patterns, among others.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to challenges.
- Proficiency in English is required.
Role and Key Accountabilities:
- Translate application storyboards and use cases into functional applications.
- Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code.
- Ensure optimal performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
- Collaborate closely with the Product Owner to align with business requirements and meet delivery timelines.
- Prioritize and resolve client issues promptly, adhering to SLAs.
- Conduct code reviews, contribute to feature design, and ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Identify and document technical debt and areas for improvement.
- Implement documentation systems for knowledge sharing, onboarding, and communication.
- Identify bottlenecks and bugs, devising appropriate solutions.
- Follow Agile Scrum development processes.
