Job Summary
We are seeking a highly qualified professional to join our team as aCommvault Backup Engineer.As an essential part of our team, you will be responsible for administering and maintaining enterprise-level backup and recovery environments usingCommvault.
We are looking for professionals with advanced knowledge inbackup policy design, retention strategies, and restore procedures.
Qualifications
More than 5 years of hands-on experience managingCommvault environments(v11.X or later).
Advanced knowledge inbackup policy design, retention strategies, and restore procedures.
Strong experienceadministering backup operationsin enterprise environments.
Solid understanding ofoperating systemsincluding Windows and Linux.
Deep expertise indatabase backups, including Oracle, PostgreSQL, and SQL Server.
Ability totroubleshoot performance issuesand backup failures.
Fluent inPortuguese, and advanced technicalEnglish.
Responsibilities
Administer and maintainenterprise-level backup and recovery environments using Commvault.
Implement and enforcebackup policiesaligned with business continuity needs.
Monitor and optimizebackup job performance and storage utilization.
Perform full and granulardata restorations,including disaster recovery operations.
ManageCommvault agents for Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL,and other enterprise applications.
Coordinatepatching, upgrades, and changesin the backup infrastructure.
Resolveincidents and technical issuesrelated to backup failures and system performance.
Collaborate withinfrastructure, database, and security teams to ensure data protection standards.
Documenttechnical proceduresand ensure knowledge transfer across teams.
Nice to Have
Experience withhybrid or cloud-based backup solutions.
Knowledge ofdata lifecycle managementandcompliance requirements.
Familiarity withscriptingfor automation and reporting in backup environments.
Intermediate to advancedSpanish.
